One of the stereotypes that people have about me is that sometimes people think I am talkative. It is true that I can get talkative whenever I get excited or have something to talk about. Yet, most of the times, I don’t talk much at all. I don’t know why people would think I am chatty, but it wasn’t good since it did cause me some trouble. Whenever I am tired, especially in the morning, I rarely talk. However, since people don’t know that, sometimes they think I’m just mad. This caused some misunderstanding between me and my friends; therefore, this stereotype was harmful.
One stereotype that I have against African American is that I think they are all very athletic. Thus, whenever our school has play sport events against other schools, I get intimidated. This stereotype is both beneficial and harmful at the same time. The intimidation that I feel before the game helps me get prepared. Yet, it can affect me negatively by making me lose hope even before the game starts.
