People hold stereotypes against that are untrue. Many people think that I am stupid and not good at studying when I am actually okay at it. People expect me to have a 1.0 GPA or a low sat score. In fact, I actually scored pretty high on my sat. Another stereotype people have about me is that I am not a very nice person. I know I might not be the nicest person, but I find it ironic that people can think that I am not a very nice person when I have friends. I hold many stereotypes against people. Even though I suck at math, I still think that Asians are excellent at math. Actually, I think that “true-Asians” (Asians who grew up in Asia their whole life unlike me) are good at math. Another stereotype I have is that I think black people are very athletic. Whenever I see black people from SAHS play basketball at TCIS, I always think we’re going to lose because NBA is consisted of almost all black players. I think stereotypes are beneficial and harmful depending on what sort of stereotype it is. For example, there are racist stereotypes where people assume that Hispanics or African-Americans always work under people. A stereotype like this one can be harmful and very offensive. On the other hand, people assuming that Asians are awesome at math might not be so bad. Maybe it can be in a way, but it is also helpful in a way because that would mean people look at us Asians in good light. I think this because.. well.. because I think this is why.
