Racial Discrimination in Music 2

"Racial Discrimination" by Israel Vibration is another song that demotes racial discrimination. Israel Vibration is a group of Caribbean musicians who plays mostly reggae-style music. By singing "no more racial discrimination," Israel Vibration shows their attempt of trying to reduce discrimination between different races. Listening to a song that is sang by musicians of African descent, the message they try to send seems to be stronger because of their origin.

An advantage that this message receives from this type of music is the showing of emotion. Reggae, among other music, is good for showing particular emotions. In “Racial Discrimination,” it can be seen that the overall emotion is a bit gloomy, yet positive, showing that this situation is terrible, but there is still hope. The disadvantage of this music is, like “Stop the Insanity,” not everyone listens to reggae music. This music can only target the audience who listens to reggae music.
